Using PayPal with our Shopping Cart
An account with a payment processor is required to take
payments with our shopping cart.
The simplest and quickest one to setup is currently the PayPal Payments Standard. More experienced merchants may consider
Payments Pro and Express.
Aimed at small businesses and
merchants, it
allows you to accept debit and credit cards. Customers
can make purchases without a PayPal account. No setup fees. It is simple to join with a easy setup
as well as been fully compatible with our shopping cart. See the

PayPal Payments Standard
(Easiest option)
This is the simplest version of our program and the
one recommended for beginners.
It connects to
PayPal's own PCI compliant secure server means you do not need one of your
own thus lowering costs.

Requirements

PayPal Premier or Business Account
To accept credit card payments a Premier or Business Account is required.
This is free to join and you can either apply for a new one or upgrade your
personal account.

Merchant Account ID
To connect the shopping cart with PayPal just enter the merchant account ID
or the email address that you registered with PayPal into the setup program.
All then that remains is to enter the details of the products you wish to
sell and upload them to your website.

PayPal Payments
Pro (For more experienced merchants.)
The customers stays on your website at all times during the checkout
process. It allows full customization of the order page including background
and logos.
Requirements

PayPal Premier or Business Account
You can use the same account that you have for PayPal Payments
standard.

Secure Server Certificate
If you host the order form on your own server, you will require
a SSL certificate to make the secure connect connection and encrypt the
credit card details. If you do not have a secure
server, we can however set the order form up on ours and we will
customize the order form to match the look of your site.

API Credentials
These identify your shopping cart to PayPal and consist of an
API username, password and signature. The signature is a set of
encrypted characters that you can obtain by logging in to your PayPal
account.
PayPal
Express Checkout
This is usually used together with
Payments Pro to provide a PayPal alternative to customers who do not wish to
pay with credit or debit cards. The customer is taken to the PayPal website
to confirm the order but they are returned to your site to complete the
payment process.

Low Rates
Premier and Business Accounts are charged either the Standard or Merchant rate based on
volume. All Premier and Business Accounts start at the Standard Rate until they qualify
for the Merchant Rate.

If you wish to take orders with credit cards, a PayPal Premier or Business
account is required. You can upgrade without charge from your Personal account if you
already have one.
No Programming
There is no complex JavaScript or HTML to configure and it can operate from any type of
web server. Requires
no ASP or PHP. All form variables are automatically setup and configured for the
merchant.
