Hosting Requirements

To operate the shopping cart requires you have access to a website connected to the internet. What follows is a list of the requirements of each particular version of the shopping cart, together with some recommendations for merchants without a website of their own.

PayPal Shopping Cart
This will run on any type of server including Windows, Unix and Linux. No server side scripting is required, making for a particularly easy setup for the merchant.

Shop 3
this is the second program available from our website. It will run on any server capable of running Perl CGI scripts. Choose a hosting company that lets you run your own scripts and not just their own pre-written ones. If required we can carry out the initial setup of the Perl CGI script for you.

For merchants without a website
there follows a small selection of the many compatible hosting companies. Some of them offer their own alternate ecommerce solutions and shopping carts.

Homestead
US based. If you choose this option use Homestead's own website builder to import files to their site and not FTP. Suitable for our PayPal Shopping Cart Software.

Fasthost
UK based web hosting company. All of their packages will support our software. Includes website builder and instant setup.
