Frequently Asked Questions about the Shopping Cart and payment methods it supports.

What is the shopping cart.
This is an application that runs on your own web site that allows you to sell goods and services over the internet.

How much does the program cost.
The PayPal version of the program is free and there are no charges made by us  (Web Design), the suppliers of the shopping cart.

Are there any transaction charges.
For Credit Card processing we have integrated the store with PayPal who have their own  transaction charges. Click on PayPal for details.

How am I paid.
Your customers payments are transferred directly to your PayPal account.  These can then be transferred to you own bank account at your convenience.  Payments are converted to the currency your account is held in.

Do you support any other payment processors.
The Shop3 version of the store supports Worldpay, NatWest FastPay and PayPal.  This version requires a server capable of running Perl CGI scripts.

Do I need a secure server.

No. The Program runs on your own web site, automatically connecting to the PayPal's own secure server for credit card transactions.


Do I need ASP or PHP to create a shopping cart.

No. ASP and PHP are not needed to run the program.


Which Currencies are supported.
These currently include American, Australian and Canadian Dollars, UK Pounds, European Euros and Japanese Yen. More currencies are planned to added in the future.

How do I upload the store to my website.
The store contains it own inbuilt FTP program for transferring files.   Alternatively you may use your own FTP program such as Cute FTP.  FrontPage users should import the files to first and then publish them to their web site.
