Aimed at small businesses and merchants, it allows you to accept debit and credit cards. Customers can make purchases without a PayPal account. No setup fees. It is simple to join with a easy setup as well as been fully compatible with our shopping cart.  See the setup page here.

PayPal Payments Standard (Easiest option)

This is the simplest version of our program and the one recommended for beginners. It connects to PayPal's own PCI compliant secure server means you do not need one of your own thus lowering costs. The shopping cart from this site this site provides an easy to use interface for the PayPal Payments Standard.

  • PayPal Premier or Business Account
To accept credit card payments a Premier or Business Account is required. This is free to join and you can either apply for a new one or upgrade your personal account.

  • PayPal Merchant Account ID
To connect the shopping cart with PayPal just enter the merchant account ID  or the email address that you registered with PayPal into the setup program.  All then that remains is to enter the details of the products you wish to sell and upload them to your website.

You can use the same account that you have for PayPal Payments standard.

  • Secure Server Certificate
If you host the order form on your own server, you will require a SSL certificate to make the secure connect connection and encrypt the credit card details. If you do not have a secure server, we can however set the order form up on ours and we will customize the order form to match the look of your site.

  • API Credentials
These identify your shopping cart to PayPal and consist of an API username, password and signature. The signature is a set of encrypted characters that you can obtain by logging in to your PayPal account.

PayPal Express Checkout

This is usually used together with Payments Pro to provide a PayPal alternative to customers who do not wish to pay with credit or debit cards. The customer is taken to the PayPal website to confirm the order but they are returned to your site to complete the payment process.

  • As for Payments Pro.
    See above for details.
